HERITAGE TALES 7
64 Main Street (Annie Booth)
64 Main Street was the home from 1893-1934 of photographer Miss Annie Booth. Miss Booth was born in 1858 and is first listed as a professional photographer in 1906, but there is evidence that she was at work at least three years earlier. Already in her mid-forties when she started, she continued to record the social life and activities of Randalstown and district for well over twenty years. Many of her photographs were published as postcards, a very popular method of communication in those days. For a period of some 18 years from approximately 1901, Miss Booth was in partnership with a Miss Lizzie Milner who resided with her and the firm was known as Booth and Milner Photographers.
